Isnad: The Chain of Transmitting Hadiths and Its Importance in the Islamic Tradition

Isnad is "chain of narration." This is the most important aspect in narrating Hadith . Indeed, wouldn't it be great if we knew whether the narrator could be trusted or not? Similarly, understanding isnad sets a premise for determining the validity of Hadiths by taking into consideration the reliability of the narrators involved in the transmission process. In this regard, isnad science divides narrators into various categories of strong and weak ones, and acceptance of Hadith is the most crucial aspect in Islamic jurisprudence.
